1/28/06 - Finally figured out what was wrong with my modem and fixed the problem - by myself, those bastards at Time
Warner Cable are inept at helping people, they suck Ted Turner's balls. So now music is back on the web! Also
working on getting a better antenna probably need to get a job first though......damn.

that I do not hate religious people, I hate the religions that have brainwashed them. I hate religion for stealing peoples
ability to think for themselves. When will the human race as a whole denounce these irrational belief systems? People
need to stop being passive or PC about this religious brainwashing system - islam. Islam today is what christianity was
in the dark ages before scientific enlightenment - an incredibly oppressive and violent religion e.g. the spanish
inquisition, the crusades, the salem witch trials, oppression of any minority and women, and so forth. In this age
especially when there are nuclear weapons floating around we cannot tolerate this islamic fascism or any unfounded
superstition (religion) that inspires violence or repression for that matter. Some would say "what about christianity it is a
peaceful religion". I say it is not, look at history (the examples I gave ealier), look at present day - the US prez
BELIEVES that he can consult with his god to make important decisions like going to war, not to mention the many
biblical passages that condone violence and warfare. There is also a myth of a peaceful pacifist christ that is popular
among christian moderates and the secular - this is not true. If you believe in the holy trinity then jesus and the vengeful
old testament god are 1 and the same. Thats right the god that created plagues, killed first-borns, drowned masses of
people, etc. etc. etc. is the same dude that said 'turn the other cheek' and 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone'.
We need to start demanding people use reason, stop being sheeple and leave organized religion in the dark ages
where it belongs. We need to help these people liberate themselves from these systems of oppression - there are
millions of women being violently oppressed by islam, forced to hide their bodies and faces. These women are deprived
of sunlight that is essential for mood regulation and vitamin D synthesis, they are suffocated by clothing in the heat and
are denied the most simple human rights. Sharia (islamic law) permits wife/daughter beating, execution by stoning of
(female) adulterers, execution for apostasy, execution for speaking out against islam, etc. In many sharia ruled
countries women cannnot leave the house without their husbands permission and they rarely learn to read or write, they
may not vote, drive a car, they are often victims of battery, rape, and murder - feminists need to stand up against this.
No person would dream of being openly gay under islamic rule - homosexuals and gay rights groups need to stand up

5/13/06 - People ask me why am I so adamantly opposed to religion, what harm is in it? Well where do I start… I believe
history has shown that organized religion is a destructive meme, a divider of people more than a unifier. The division
caused by religion and the opposition of conflicting religions has led unnecessarily to countless wars and atrocities. The
ridiculous laws and hate that fills many so-called "holy" books has caused the torture and death of countless people.
Religion has stagnated human progression, promoted ignorance by claiming science and reason to be sin - executing,
persecuting, torturing, and exiling as heretics brilliant scientists and anyone that dared to actually question dogma and
use their minds. Religion is an irrational belief, all any person can truthfully claim is agnosticism; to state otherwise is an
outright lie. Certain people may claim to know god exists or claim to have knowledge that an intelligent supernatural
being created the universe, even more ludicrous they may claim to have a personal relationship with their god, but they
are all lying. To have knowledge one must have objective proof to back up that knowledge, otherwise their knowledge is
just conjecture or delusion. Agnosticism pertains to knowledge, since no living person can say they know a god or gods
exist everyone is by default agnostic. Belief is different, belief is what you think is more likely based on the facts and
knowledge that you have - belief in a god or gods does not make them exist, just as a child’s belief that a monster lives
in their closet does not make it so. Therefore I consider myself an agnostic atheist, and I believe it is important to
combine the two words - I do not know if a supernatural being that people call a god exists or does not exist I cannot
prove it either way but I do not believe in a god, no sufficient evidence has been provided to compel me to believe in a
god or gods.
To truly believe in something there is no objective proof of in most situations would be considered a symptom of a
psychological disorder. For some reason it is considered taboo for me to assert this about religious belief as if it was
normal for an otherwise sane, adult person to believe in such things as santa claus, elves, fairies, and magical beings
called gods and wrong for me to criticize them when their beliefs dictate the way they live their life. Most religious people
will retort with a fallacious argument such as this – You cannot prove George Washington existed either, you must have
faith in the fact that he existed and was our first president since you were not there to witness it. This is not a valid
argument against skepticism of supernatural claims; there is a tremendous difference between stating George
Washington lived and claiming a magical being created the universe, created man then woman out of man's rib, became
dissatisfied with his creation, sacrificed his son that was really himself to appease himself and judges us after death to
determine whether we burn for eternity or live forever in paradise. George Washington is intricately tied into human
history, there is much written about him and there are records of his existence and what he did while he was alive.
There are no preposterous claims about George Washington like those in the christian bible about Jesus. It is not
claimed that George Washington was resurrected and ascended to heaven or that he was born of a virgin, we could
also if there were still those in doubt about his existence, exhume his body and check to see if he anatomically matches
paintings of him, etc. There is only one record of the supposed work of the Christian god and that is the bible – a book
written by men long dead who we know nothing of. Furthermore, Jesus is not mentioned in any Roman records, there is
no mention of him in any of the contemporary writings of his time, of course there is conveniently no body since he is
said to have ascended to heaven, no mention of him until at least 70 years after when he was said to have died on the
cross and even this writing about him in the first gospel does not refer to him as a actual person. If Jesus was actually
god then why did he not reveal himself to the world, provide ample evidence to the world of his divinity so there was no
room for doubt, just think of how tied into history he would have been then.
I believe religion is a way of humankind explaining things they cannot understand or explain otherwise – the origin of life,
the question of life after death, the purpose of our existence, the complexity and the creation of the universe, etc.
Ridiculously and arrogantly religious persons profess to know this currently unobtainable knowledge, they believe their
holy book has given to them the answers to all of humankind’s eternal questions; they claim to know the origin of life,
they claim to know how the universe was created and designed - they claim to know their god or gods created these
things and designed them, these people are fools, they are fools because these are things they cannot actually know.
Socrates said, "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." I think that quote summarizes well the rationality
of agnostic thinking and the irrationality and foolishness of religious belief. Religions are mythology and these
challenging questions about existence and the universe are the ones mythology has always attempted to explain. If
humanity intellectually progresses as a whole our contemporary religions will eventually be relegated to mythology.
Religions like Christianity and Islam will be studied as mythology like the religions of antiquity - as a way to understand
the culture that created and continued to believe the myths. Hopefully humankind will progress and in their studies of
past mythology and culture they will understand the divisive and destructive nature of religion and never be led back

Drake Equation is supposed to give us an estimate of the number of intelligent civilizations in our galaxy :

I am inclined to believe that there are other intelligent civilizations in our galaxy, unfortunately I believe most intelligent
civilizations will self-destruct before they progress from their intellectual infancy and this may be why we have not
established contact. If you glance at human history you will see what has caused war and what may cause our own self-
destruction : nationalism, imperialism (economic and territorial), religion, jingoism, racism, greed and selfishness, blind
following and leader worship. Sometimes I think of the human race as toddlers with handguns running loose on a
playground with no adults in sight - we are smart enough to have created weapons capable of destroying us all but still
too intellectually bankrupt to understand why we are even fighting. Why must we draw imaginary lines on maps, define
ourselves as citizens of this or that country? The boarders and the countries do not even exist they are false claims to
ownership and abstract legal unities. Why cant more individuals embrace autonomy (freedom from control and foolish
pride in countries and flags and religious beliefs) and solidarity (cooperation with everyone to make the world better
and helping each other so no one has to starve or live in poverty)? If humanity wants to save itself from self-destruction
we must end this selfish belief in earth ownership, we must take control away from the governments and put it back in
the hands of the people, we must work together in cooperation instead of in competition - no one should decide
arbitrarily what the value of an hour of your life is worth, all work is important and all people deserve to live comfortably
with everything they need, we need to end irrational belief in gods that there is no proof of existing and realize that the
only life we can be sure of is the life we have now on earth and try to make our heaven here and now, not wish for it
after death.
5/19/07 - LUNk has been down for quite a while...and a lot has changed. Dad passed away, unexpectedly and way too
early. We will all miss him very much. But you can't keep a good heathen down, we are back and we will be switching to
AM radio soon to get increased range. Look for us on 1580 AM when you are in downtown Lincoln. We will be back on
the air and on the web by July(hopefully)!
